Vaasa Wildlife Festival to screen Iran ‘Houbara’

Iranian documentary ‘Houbara’ is to be screened at the Vaasa Wildlife Festival in Finland.

Iranian documentary ‘Houbara’ has made its way to the Vaasa Wildlife Festival in Finland.

‘Houbara’, co-directed by Fathollah Amiri and Nima Asgari, will take part in the festival’s Environment & Conservation category.

The documentary is about Houbara (Bustard), one of the endangered bird species in Iran and around the world.

Earlier reports said Iranian films ‘Wood’, ‘The Crow’, ‘Heaven’, ‘No Substitute’, ‘The Song of a Little Owl’, ‘The Roots’, ‘Karun’, ‘Coexist’ and ‘Echo’ will also participate in the Finnish event.

The Vaasa Wildlife Festival is an international nature film festival. It was founded in 2002.

The gala screens works themed on climate change, people's relationship with nature and conservation.

The 11th edition of the festival will kick off on September 28 and run until October 2.
